A flying club based at Fife Airport (EGPJ), Glenrothes
Edinburgh and Fife Aero Club (EFAC) was formed in 1984 under the original name of Fife Aero Club, and latterly Fife Flying Club. EFAC is based at Fife Airport (EGPJ), an unlicensed airfield near Glenrothes, which is ideally positioned for quick and easy access to some of the most attractive scenery in the UK, much of which is uncontrolled airspace.
The club has over 100 active members and a busy calendar of events that caters for the diverse interests of its members.
There’s always something going on around the airfield and we particularly welcome visiting pilots who wish to either drop in for a quick visit, or stay for a few days and enjoy a short holiday in Fife.
Airfield operator and instructor Jim Watt will give a Flight Safety Briefing focussed on communications. These will be practical sessions on radio procedures with particular emphasis on Zone transits. Whether you are a rookie or an old hand you’ll find this briefing to be time well spent.
